Just thought it worth mentioning that one of the guys behind the new Pruitt-Igoe doc linked on the front page is a MeFite who showed up in the thread last night to thank MeFi (or Memepool) for turning him on to the subject of his first film, Jandek on Corwood, back in 2002.

If he gets some more screenings around the country, this seems like a perfect meetup opportunity. I'd love to see the film.

I've only met jjjjjjjijjjjjjj a couple of times now, but I'm a fan. (Albeit one who's been remiss in responding to his MeFi Mails... Sorry! I have read them!) He also designed a vectory map of St. Louis and gave out copies at the last Black Thorn meetup we had here—mine hangs in my cubicle to this day, and one of my co-workers commented on it again just yesterday.

I'm pretty sure that "The Pruitt-Igoe Myth" will be screened at this year's True/False Film Festival in Columbia, MO.

Oh, Jandek on Cordwood was great fun. As is everything Jandek.

Yeah, I was surprised at how affecting Jandek on Corwood was; just saw it a few months ago.

I find it a bit sad that over the years, folks have been able to connect enough of the dots about Jandek that some of the mystique has faded.
