So I made this comment here, kind of tongue in cheek.
Then a few minutes later I check my favorites and find this made six hours before.
Just interested in others MeFi coincidence stories if there are any?
Sometimes I post a comment and someone else beats me to it.

He will first take you to a nightclub, then to a transvestite club and afterwards to the Hilton hotel, where he will pass out in a drunken stupor. Je t'aime... moi non plus.

It's a little-known fact that I am the most hilarious mefite. Unfortunately for me, Greg Nog is not only telepathic, but also a faster typist. That's why he makes the big bucks.

Every now and then I see a favorite by someone whose username is the same as my son's name and it freaks me right the hell out.

A few months ago I was going to recommend a business on Capitol Hill in Seattle to someone in AskMe. In order to give the best recommendation I could I wanted to mention that the business is gay-friendly, but only if it looked like the asker would appreciate that. So I started looking through the asker's posting history to see if I could find a clue. That felt really creepy, so I abandoned my search and made the recommendation without it.
The next time I checked MetaFilter I noticed that my favorites count had increased by one. (Yes, I keep tabs on that. I need all the validation I can get.) Someone had favorited a long-dormant comment of mine from years ago, essentially "I'm totally not gay, but when I was working as a florist (on Capitol Hill, a few blocks away from that business) I would sometimes adopt certain mannerisms to let straight people think I was gay if they wanted to."
Freaked me right the hell out, that did.

I posted a Hold Steady/Mountain Goats YouTube, and in the 'similar threads' thing I saw that somebody had been banned for self-linking/promoting a completely different Hold Steady video only an hour or so ago. No collusion, just complete coincidence.

I once posted one of my best comments ever, right before the thread was closed up. I knew it was destined for greatness, but apparently it was not meant to be. I think it was God's way of keeping humble.

There was this one time that I made the wittiest, most dryly observant comment that anyone has made on this site, and then I went out to run some errands. On my return to my computer, I was all excited about what the response to my comment might be. When I finally got back to the thread, my comment was gone and there was some cryptic message in small type from one of the mods about editing the thread because someone was being a dick. What are the chances of that shit?

Surely it would be more of a coincidence if someone posted a Hold Steady video on a day when you hadn't posted something relating to the Hold Steady?

Well, lucien lives in Australia, so isn't it possible that the favorite was posted after your comment, and the time difference makes it look like a premonition?

Not an online MeFi coincidence, but:
At last year's Public Library Association conference, a panelist in one of the sessions made an offhand remark about "Jessamyn, a librarian from Vermont, who couldn't make it here today." After the session, I walked up and asked her if it was Jessamyn West she was talking about.
It WAS!
We all missed seeing you there, Jessamyn.
