New Fast Server?

Gee, MetaFilter's fast. Surely, this is the new server? But so soon, just a week after Matt ordered it? That hardly seems possible! Is everyone seeing a huge speed increase?

The real explanation is that the 5k site is currently off the server, but will be back once the new hardware shows up. I'll be sure to announce when that happens, and it should be clearly faster when it does.

I'm sitting 6 feet from the server, and I don't notice any speed increase. I want my money back!

No, evanizer -- MeFi Server Porn. It's got the low-quality video, the crazy camera angle, the odd cable running here and there, the strange and unexplainable movements (where's he putting his hand?), the other starlet sitting bored and neglected on some nearby furniture. The only thing it lacks is a cheesy soundtrack.

Oh, and the guy is much too good-looking. But to make up for that shortcoming, we never see his attractive side.

Pfff! Anyone can access the MeFi Server Porn. But for the hard MeTa stuff you'd have to pass the severe benchmark test. I wonder if anyone apart from Matt is up to it.
