So uh, I came to work today and no one else is here.
On the one hand, I work in IT and we're pretty laid back about hours.
On the other hand, today is labor day and I wish I'd known that before I went to work.

Thanks for the party, Jessamyn. The cake was delicious and I really enjoyed the giant blow up bouncy thing. Sorry I spilled fruit punch on your party dress. I did! Or, rather, I took the day mostly off and spent time eating food and hanging out playing board games and drinking beer and cooking hot dogs with friends. I went for a walk. I did some cleaning, walked around in a short that said BIRTHDAY GIRL and a I saw a rufous sided towhee which is a bird I'd never seen before.
Happy Birthday also to anaximander, dearwassily, droob, Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific, GrinnyGog, jdfan, ladygypsy, lauranesson, Measured Out my Life in Coffeespoons, milovoo, PhriendlyFace, randomination, robot rex, salem, socratic, timepiece and any other MeFite who didn't tell us your birthday. Really appreciate all the well-wishes and I'm off to take a bath.
