I was searching for hilarious elephant gifs that use to fill the older days with such warmth and kindness among members, in light of this latest dust up, and instead came across a word count on Google.
Yeah, that's a one-off word count thing I did about a year ago in service of this metatalk comment about apostrophe use and the possessive case.
If you're into this kind of thing, there are full frequency tables for the site in the Metafilter Corpus.

I have no idea what this means.
It means that "slogger's" was one of 3087 distinct words to appear exactly three times in the corpus at the time that word count was run.

First I wondered how many of those iterations of "it's" needn't the apostrophe, as they were the possessive of "it." Then I postulated to myself that, given the makeup of the Metafilter community, I bet the misuse of "it's" in lieu of "belong to it" is much lower than other online communities. Finally, I hit preview, saw cortex's first link, and realized we're a pretty pedantic bunch and this ground is well-trodden.

I, for one, am bitterly disappointed no one has yet linked to elephants. Apostrophes are no substitute for elephant ablutions.

Here's a little flashback for those who really miss the elephant. And for the sake of the record, a little history.
Poor quonsar - such a sweet, hapless guy and I fear I led him astray. First it was wacky kitty videos and the next thing you know he was mainlining pissing pachyderms. Sadly enough, the ammonia fumes from the voluminous elephant secretions irreversibly altered his bio-chemistry because it was all about smocks and pants fish after that.

There is only one possible conclusion to draw. Your father and quonsar must duel to the death, there can be only one. Hit it, Queen!

I just got an iPhone and I noticed that if you type in a plural of a word (or "its"), Autocorrect will frequently change it to the possessive (or "it's"). I bet this accounts for a lot of the misuse of "it's".

Three uses of černý's, and three uses of zippitybuddha's. Ten instances of zsazsa's. And, ironically, ten instances of zipf's. (Seems kind of low on that one).
I'm pretty sure that it's actually encoded in UTF-8, in which case the lexographically final hapax legomena are:
åkerlund's
étretat's
ööööö's
østrem's
þ's
þorri's
čapek's
ŷ's
ξ's
π's
φ's
沉默的中指's
