Deleted threads should not show up in user history June 24, 2002 8:58 AM   Subscribe

Threads which have been deleted by Matt should not show up in a search of those posted by a user, but they do.

i posted a thread a while back about GNU.org's domain name being hijacked which turned out to be a false alarm. the thread was rightfully deleted, but it still shows on a search of my previously posted links. is this a bug or a philosophical decision? (i'm going with bug, but who knows.)

I prefer having them there. It shows you who you're dealing with while maintaining the civility of the main areas.

i'd say philosophy!

Fixed. You will no longer see deleted comments or links on the linked pages off the user page, and the user page no longer includes deleted stuff in counts.

Great! And now for a covert "bugs" plug: Next thing you know the MetaTalk posting box, when you go back to revise, won't annoyingly revert the post to the "bugs" category. ;)

Sorry, I may have misunderstood this, but comments in deleted threads still exist on my user page. So was that not part of the deal, or is that still a bug?

For instance, this comment.
