I for one will be sorry to see fewer of Artw's posts on the front page. I mean, I'm not gonna do 1000 posts myself, because I'm lazy. And not that good at spotting interesting content. Or particularly well versed at composing good presentation text.

Basically, if I was a better mefite along every axis, I'd aim at having a record like Artw's.

You should write a book, then someone else could post it to the front page, and then we could all be like, "I hate when people do something on metafilter for a year and all the while you know they intended to turn it into a book, like that guy who posted 52 askme questions about his colon, or that woman who attended every IRL event for a year. I knew ArtW just wanted a book all along." You would make so many people happy.

As someone who was permanently scarred by reading Shako as a 10-year-old, I appreciate that this is a recurring in-joke on MetaFilter. I mean, Dredd, sure. Strontium Dog, maybe.

But Shako is a deep cut.
