Thanks, one and all! I'd only consider my posts here work if I didn't enjoy them, and I've had a blast. Seriously, MetaFilter is my outlet for my passing obsessions and interests, and I'm so happy I've found it and y'all. But I must confess I got a bit obsessed with numbers towards the end, trying to get #1000 before the new year, and with this arbitrary goal reached, I'll be dialing it back.

filthy light thief is easily one of my favorite posters here on MeFi. If it's a deeply researched, link heavy post about a topic I never realized I needed to explore before the moment I saw it here, it's nearly always a flt post. I have so much admiration and appreciation, and my life is much more rich for even taking a cursory walk through the posts attached to flt that is is difficult to explain the effect his MetaFilter presence has had on my life.
You are indeed filthy, my unmet friend. In exactly all the right ways.

I cringe when I remember my stunt post era, it was the early days of being a n00b on the blue. Way before I had a clue about site culture. Ended up driving the MeTa that was opened on my behaviour crazy by grinning like a goofball through it instead of feeling abashed at raising the ire of the community.
