To make my birthday really ludicrous, I have a company softball game prior to meeting up with my internet friends.

here's a map. looks like it's on mott between grand & broome.
6 to Spring is the closest, it looks like. Otherwise, N,R to Prince or N,R,Q,W to Canal. Or C to Spring or A to Canal (a bit of a walk). Or the F to Broadway/Lafayette. Those are my thoughts.
I think everyone is getting there around 7:30/8:00 ish?

not today
Yeah. I phoned Pão to put a good word in and spoke to a very friendly Brazilian woman. At first she couldn't find a booking for today under mlang's name. Then she said "Ah, yes, here it is - he must have booked it under the name Jennifer".
And I, of course, went "Jennifer, huh? Yup, that's him".

Jonmc, for our meet in Dallas, can you send us one of those famous flannels of yours, seriously........that will be our MetaFlag. It will go with the decor of our establishment, flannels and half and full yards of beer .........will even splash some suds on it and shove a cigar butt in a pocket and send it back to you with the full experience.........

This first post goes out to the ever-effervescent evanizer -- don't know about those RTEMT prospects (a man can dream, can't he?). He's moving to Hawaii in the fall. Maybe if you put on a grass skirt? A-lo-ha-o-i?
On another note, jon would never part with one of his esteemed flannels, but if you all can keep a secret, maybe I can slip one out of the laundry basket in the wee hours... it would make a fine emblem, indeed (maybe the red one?).

once and for all: the portuguese restaurant is not expensive. your $40 includes wine, appetizer/dessert, and tip. there is no coat check. cabs to double happiness afterwards can be shared (to the tune of, like, $1.50 per person). drink water, pass on dessert, and tip like my father if you want to slide through for less than $20.

I'll keep working our NY office though - gotta be something they have that necesitates my presence on the scene, perhaps some fairly easy job that only I can do that will require me to work 2-3 hours per day for about a week...
In the meantime, you guys have a great time, and maybe tip a glass once for me, ok?
