Is anyone else experiencing instability with MetaFilter today? I've had a fair number of time-outs and slow-downs with site loading and refreshes. It seems only limited to this particular site. Just checking in.

Site's been okay for me today, and there's not anything obvious server-side. But folks can definitely let us know if they're running into trouble.

I am a total Metaslug today...in the office to make up for the snowstorm, no one else here, putting off EVERYTHING.

I've noticed a few instances recently where a post's 'Related Posts' are older than one might expect (e.g. this one and this one), but no time-outs or slow-downs.

Have you updated your bookmarks to https? I saw some weirdness on iPhone from time to time until I changed my bookmarks to https.

March Madness is clogging up the InterTubes?

The cabal is currently expending resources to influence March Madness. UMBC vs Virginia was the first major accomplishment.

Could be totally unrelated- on the ask about the bone on the beach, clicking the tag 'bone' lead to an error message.

Yes, like lalex, I also tried to search a users comment history for a different, not scandalous thing the other day (Friday night) and the site was slow. At one point I got an error message that said something to the effect of "the search is taking too long."

Just FYI, the search function works best for scandalous things.

I had a pretty decent amount of timeouts on Friday (3/16) when trying to open results from the search; also tried to copy-paste the direct URL itself into a new tab, but some specific Ask questions just would not want to open. Each time the page said it sent an error report, so I didn't email the mods, but the flurry of WWOOF-related failed search results was me.

I was also the source of some error reports on Friday. It was morning over here, would have been around midnight PacNW time – lots of timeouts. Seemed to recover by early morning PacNW time. All my bookmarks are for https.

I'm finding MetaFilter really slow (timing out) at around 19:00 Australian Eastern Daylight Time ( 3:00 AM CST / 4:00 AM ET)
