Someone from offsite suggested that the nonprofit board check out The Nonprofit Helpdesk.

The board elected NotLost as chair.

Look, if you're going to follow someone, choosing a leader who's NotLost is a great move!

So I was in a local library Board of Trustees meeting two days ago, and I marveled at the way that conversation was open and honest, despite some philosophical differences around the table. No one minded when I open a controversial topic about a new policy, because I was able to explain that my experience was coming from a place of dysfunction. :7) We all laughed a lot, and ended with strong consensus on the decisions we made.

I hope that the Board here at MeFi is equally collegial and honest. You're all awesome!
