Invoking the Lazyfilter again...How cool would it be to set up the AntiMetafilter somewhere? A blog that consists solely of the posts that got deleted from the big blue, complete with mathowie's reason for nuking.

Or am I the only one who idly runs my mouse over the links on the front page, seeking out the missing post numbers so I can see who got shot down for what?

If I am, I'm OK with that, just a little weirded out by myself.

The problem with endorsing the proposed site would be that people would go out of their way to get deleted. Matt would have to deal with more crap than usual because someone wants to be king of the trash posts.

Yep, that's pretty much what Matt said last time this was brought up. Anyway, it would make posting a bad link a form of contributing to the site, since a bad link on Metafilter is a great link on Bizarro Metafilter. And that's bad.

Looking at the front page the last few days, I'd have to say the shitpile here is pretty darn stinky on its very own.

From the tone of some of the people round here, you'd think Fark was the antimetafilter.

Metafilter has already become Fark, more or less.

Also, I think Matt is the only person that has ever invoked 'lazyfilter' and not been strung up by his nuts (and/or gender-specific other sensitive bits). Just a friendly heads-up, there.

I for one enjoy the concept of applying "filter" to any common term used on this site as it can only result in an eventual virtual Smurf village. I always assumed that's why it was blue in the first place.
