I know, Miguel -- I don't see what the big deal is, either. I'm always right.

That's really pretty cool. Congrats, dhartung. You can join Kevin at the "Mefiers who've had musings and theories which turned out to be true" table, if you're so inclined.

I'm always right.

Is that as opposed to 'wrong' or as opposed to 'left'? ;-)

So?

I think, perhaps, we should all dig deep into our collective emotional selves and discuss how we felt when we received the news of Dhartung's spot-on observation. Were we happy for a fellow member? Resentful of him? Perhaps ashamed that we didn't make such an observation? What did we feel as members of the community, and, most importantly, as human beings?

[Insert elegant, eloquent, and downright benevolent run-down of various feelings and fond memories.]

I always knew that dhartung is always right, and believe I should therefore be allowed to sit near the "Mefiers who've had musings and theories which turned out to be true" table.

Actually when I first heard "table", I didn't think about a table with legs; I thought of something like a periodic table, which would actually be a pretty cool thing: A Periodic Table of Mefites...

I think Dan should have his own metafilter litter with four bearers. ceremonial posting powers, a key to the code box and access to the super-secret secondary MeFi server.

Miguel, it is simply an interesting observation relating to a previous thread, closed thread in fact, while it might have been better put within the closed thread, we can't.

No it's not worth a FPP in the blue, but it is certainly of interest in MeTa, more-so than some of your FPP's that ask what is/was/will be your whatever.

MeFi and MeTa are not all about you Migs.

On a side note, why is it that you, Schweppes Girl, and Carlos all create similar FPPs, I can spot the style before I see the author's name.

I'd be willing to accept that the Miguel style is what some users think is a great style and are imitating it for themselves, which is unfortunate it is a style that isn't really about the links and more suited for a mail list or a chat forum.

I'd be willing to accept that someone just has so much goodness to share that he found his own way around the 'one post per 24 hours' rule.

dhartung, you are going to have to fight this guy for the title. He has a lot of nerve! My vote is for you if there are any petitions to be signed, marches to be held, etc etc.

But after viewing his site, it made me wonder - what is your rap name?
posted by madamjujujive at 5:35 PM on April 19, 2003

This has to be a record in the already competitive field of migstalking: two little letters and one question mark from me have produced a thousand more. Fwiw, I meant that dhartung is always right (except when foldy is). You guys already itching for my next MeTa thread or what? ;)

The official line is that they are wedded to and edited by Miguel, respectively. I would reveal more but it might compromise my sources.
