very minor bug this January 15, 2004 2:48 PM   Subscribe

Very minor bug this, but I'll mention it given that I've only ever seen it happen on Metatalk and AskMefi...

This corruption of the screen happens about 90% of the time when I first access Metatalk. It is resolved by switching to different window and then switching the focus back to the browser.

Looks like a browser bug to me. Next time it happens - have a look at the source; see if the lines are repeated there. It's maybe worth posting to the respective mozilla/firebird pages.

I've seen that frequently in Firebird Win32 (since 0.3 or so) on the metafilter front page. It's a browser bug.

I see this sometimes on all MeFi pages and is fixed by a refresh (Firebird 0.7/XP). I always figured it was just Gremlins.

I've been using firebird daily since .5 or so and have never seen it. Check the source the next time to see if things are really doubled up.

It's not evident in the source -- it's a rendering/painting bug (which is why occluding and exposing the window 'fixes" it) and even then it doesn't happen on every box. Strangely enough, though, I've never seen it on other sites. It only seems reproducible with your layout.
