Seriously, it's good to see Matt posting more to the front page, and good links at that. Kudos to him for trying to steer MeFi back to what it does best.

Strong policies, MCD, strong policies!

I have been running across a lot of amazing things lately, mostly from emails I was privy to, so I knew they hadn't been on the site before.

Don't consider this normal, it's a fluke bunch of good stuff that's been flying by me lately.

(also, I think I had a 5th post, but it probably sucked)

Nope, the fifth was my favorite of the bunch.

But five FFPs in 22 hours? Are you sure you're not just doing that to piss off Miguel?
not that there's anything wrong with that...

Another pony, Matt, add "FPP" to the Spell Check...

("posts" goes through the spellchecker fine)

He might actually do so, if he hadn't repeatedly gone on record describing how much he dislikes the acronym, and why. Or, what gleuschk said.

Also, I am amused that Matt gets to pull rank and post more than once in 24 hours, but if they're interesting links, then more power to 'im.

(The Mac fanboy stuff is a little sketchy, there, but it's still better than 'two headed baby rapes gay marriage-bound WMD truckdriver with floppy popstar titties!' Farkfodder, so it's all good.)

I was wondering about this....but the posts are good, better on average than most, and they keep the "little engine that could" of Metafilter chugging along.

Choo choo!

Am I the only one who sees this as a contemptuous breach of the community ethos? Oh, I get it, it's ok for Matt to make four posts in one day, but nobody else can? Nice logic there. Maybe you should call it MetaFascist!!!

Careful troutfishing, you're treading on quonsar's sacred ground. Only he may invoke the 'Train.

What's the point of building some community weblog from your own sweat/scratch if you can't break the rules once in a while?

#2 was the bomb. good catch on that one.

... you can say what your want about the administration, their policies, etc...

it's hard for me to imagine how some say that whatever tech link or nifty new collection of doodads is actually more fpp worthy these days...

I know... I'm just perpetrating another one of my lonely in-jokes, where everytime I misspell a word that's not in the SpellCheck dictionary, I ask Matt for a pony. I thought this time was funnier than most, since I know Matt doesn't like the acronym.
Do I have to explain ALL my jokes? Yes.

I'll forgive anything, mathowie, sweetie darling. But really ... pastels? OH, SNAP??

All the cool kids don't bother to post. They just e-mail their links to Matt and let him do it. It's known as Cheney-mail.

Was that a joke?

If I don't explain it, it's not a joke.
