Trackbacks Disabled

Have trackbacks been disabled? Or is it just that nobody wants to link back to Metafilter anymore?

disabled after someone was exploiting them. I haven't had time to create throttling and banning code for trackbacks, so I just took them down.

I remember two exploits:
This guy, who trackback-spammed MeFi by pinging threads with linked dots, and the sexy MIDI-embedded trackback spam.

I second the addition of the return of the trackback to the community wishlist, as they are a great way to find other points of view on an issue.

the lat/long thing is still on the list, right?

...since we're doing a mathowie pile-on, I was also wondering if you're still planning those usability improvements to AskMe that you'd talked about, Matt.

Are they on the agenda, or is that pony gone to heaven?
