DC Meetup on September 2, 2004

DC Meetup.
I'm Selfish. I'm going to be in DC tomorrow thru fri. Any interest in a meetup on Wednesday night? I'll be in the downtown region (near Farragut West.) We could make it a happyhourish thing. I've never been to a meetup. And I know all you DCites want to meet a real philadelphian.

Hi filmgeek! I'm sort of game though Wednesday night might be tough for me. Our recent Screen on the Green meetup attempt was at least partly foiled due to poor weather. Happy hour at a bar is probably best, but the short notice might be a problem for attendance.

Normally, I'd be there. But MrsMoonPie and I are closing on a house Tuesday, then starting to move in afterwards, so I'm out of commission for a while. Sorry!

Either day is OK for me. There should be plenty of room inside if the weather is foul -- but if there's another suggestion for place I'm also open to it.

I'm in downtown (near faragut west) and understand how the metro works.

OnlyC- pick a place (we'll call the official "unofficial" start time at 5:30pm until...well the last of you leave.); either you or I should call that place and *warn* them - if you're coming, sound off here with an AYE.

I think it's shaping up for Thursday at the 18th Street Lounge, with potential attendees being filmgeek, brownpau, coelecanth, NortonDC (maybe), me (maybe) plus 2 other MeFites, maybe more. Also, I've invited the monkeys, and so far SideDish and BearGuy are thinking it over.

I think we should do the 18th Street Lounge. I couldn't get there before 7:30, though, and some of the monkeys are also talking about showing up late, e.g., 9:30. Move start time back to 6:30 or 7, or will others come early?

(Hey, ladies, the m/f ratio here so far is 2 to 1. Lets start representing!)
