Are there separate RSS feeds available for Ask mefi and MeTa? And if no, why not? I've found the main MeFi feed, but nothing else.

Well, I can't autodiscover a MeTa feed, and searching for RSS brings up just about every post.

bonaldi, Search Metatalk (threads only) for keyword rss yields only 35 posts, four of which address exactly the questions asked here.

I too am your friend. There is no MetaTalk RSS feed, as the existence of one might encourage posting to MetaTalk.

As we are bringing up the AskMe RSS feed into question, could the title of the question be the title of the feed item. Right now it is just, "AskMe Question #XXXXX" Oh, and a pony, unnumbered. Thanks.

I don't think AskMe questions actually have titles, yet. The form's basically just username, password, question text and "preview" and "submit" buttons.
And I don't see any autodetect stuff in the source for the MetaTalk homepage, either. Isn't it supposed to be a

plemelr, I created a feed for AskMefi that does that, it is at http://www.xqse.com/feeds/askmefi.php
It takes the first 100 characters of the post as the title.
