Central Ohio/Columbus Meetup

Central Ohio/Columbus Mefites: Anyone up for a Meetup? I've somehow become the organizer so I have the power to change dates and places. The only thing I cannot do is force people to join and show up.

As of right now the next event is set for Tuesday (10/2) night at 8:00, but at no specific venue. While it might be interesting to hang out and watch the election results roll in we might do better to change it to another day. Any ideas?

damn, i missed it! these things should really be posted before the event, not 3 weeks after the event.

Yes, 10/2 would be a REALLY bad night and 11/2 not much better. Sounds cool though. I joined the group. Hopefully it will be more successful than the Columbus MST3K group, which now has 3 members!

I'm volunteering on Election day, driving, calling, get out the vote stuff. So maybe later?

How about we combine mid- and north-Ohio for a December or later Nov meetup? Cleveland-area will maybe add three or so to the crowd. Maybe more.

Or I was hoping the election was already behind us.

How about the Saturday thereafter, 11/4, for the locals?

I must still be slow tonight as well.

11/6 is Saturday and far better than 11/4, Thursday.

Funny how I got to be organizer, since I can't even keep track of simple dates.

I'm game. And, I think Shane has a good idea. Some more lead time I think would be better than rushing into it.
