I don't care.
It's sort of a strike against them, because I tend to think maybe they're going to be disruptive, but that's only because I have to admin this place. I let a user's words speak for them, and they can call themselves anything they like. Fishfucker, although the name may offend some people here (but I really hope not), seems to have his/her head on straight and his/her comments sound intelligent to me.

if there was an offensive enough name that complaints about it were sizable, I'd probably ask someone to change theirs. "fishfucker" is pretty innocuous, but something with a racist, inflammatory word would probably obscure any point they were trying to make. So I don't know, it's never been a problem before, but if the mob rules that "fishfucker" is too racy, I suppose I could ask them to change it.

I think I might like "The FishFucker 2000" better.

Speaking as the aforementioned Dong Resin, I can tell you I wanted a name that would be somewhat self-depreciating, something post-clever. There's a lot of clever on the web, and after you OD on it, you go crude.

If everyone hates me because of my name, I'll change it, you should hate me because of who I am and what I think, not because of my name. I just like to use it because I like thinks like that. It was also the only thing I could think of (idiotnewguy I thought of too late). I happen to like it, simply because it looks pretty cool, and I like vulgar names (to make people slightly uneasy, although I'm not immature enough to think it's funny ha-ha, I think it's interesting).
It started as the name of a strange experimental band/project I started that ceased to exist sometime last year. I wanted to keep the name alive, at least keep it circulating so no one else grabs it.
If everyone hates it, I suppose I could be nice and change it, even though that's giving into peer pressure/conforming/giving in/bending to other's wills/etc.
