Yeah, ave Mont-Royal is the Plateau.

I live in Montreal, and I'm pretty broke but would consider stopping by if school things don't look to be interfering.

ITheCosmos--drinks will be on me--Canada's one place where my money still goes further, thankfully. You guys pick a bar or something. (I was up and down that area for a Nuit Blanche thing a few years ago)

If you want to do something on Mt-Royal ave, then my suggestion would be to meet at Bily Kun ( 354, avenue du Mont-Royal Est ).

Ha, I'd not call Bily Kun unpretentious (lots of black turtlenecks and hipster-glasses in evidence), but it's a nice place and the music's great.

9pm is fine by me, so is 8pm if it accomodates more folks although I might run a bit late as I have an informal interview at 6pm followed by a big bowl of poutine (no, really).

So what's the technique for identifying mefites in a crowd?
