Appalachian Mountain Mefi Mofi Meetup Reminder -
it's this Friday, April 8, as in the day after tomorrow, after work (5ish/6ish and continuing) at the Flying Frog on the corner of Haywood & Battery Park in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC. Hopefully outside, weather permitting. Be there!

I've long harbored a dream of quitting the stupid rat race and moving to Asheville. Do you live there, mygothlaundry, or is it just the most central meetup locale for you Appalachian types?

jonson: mygothlaundry and i are the only two active mefites here, but we're thinking some peeps may come from out of town- Charlotte and Knoxville aren't all that far away.

Yeah, it's the "weather permitting" part that has me worried. Looks a bit like we're going to be sending some nasty weather your way from over here in Tennessee. Oh well. I still plan on being there. ::fingers crossed::

Well, as far as we know we're the only two in Asheville, although I do remember somebody else last fall. But it's possible the town is crawling with lurkers . . who knows? Maybe they will show up really quietly and sit at a table across the bar and just watch. ;-)

We can always go inside Chris - anyway there is an awning over the outdoor part. But we had enough gross weather today - it's got to be better tomorrow.
