a little underdeveloped in the civility department November 5, 2005 1:42 PM Subscribe
While it's refreshing to see a comment from him not calling for the execution of people he doesn't like, perhaps zagszman still remains a little underdeveloped in the civility department. For someone who thinks we should just get over torturing Muslims, he's quick to demand that we start turning firehoses on them.

Oh, I'm proud. I've got a thick skin and am pretty laid back (as XQUZYPHYR might remember), but this shit is really starting to piss me off.

Wow. I can't tell if he's serious or if he's just trolling for laughs. Maybe both...

Looking at his comment history, he's 0 for 7 on signal, but 7 for 7 on noise.

I was nice how he was totally ignored in that France riots thread. Almost like we're learning something around here.

I was convinced he was joking in the France thread.
But now that I've read his other comments... yuck.

Blimey. Not a very nice man, that Nick Zaharias. (Funny, I knew a bloke with that surname at University - he was Muslim, of Middle Eastern descent.)

That's the funny thing about hatred. The more you let it take over your heart, the more you hate other people and groups, the faster your own hatred consumes you and makes you miserable. Feel sorry for zagszman. Ban him perhaps (although that seems far too rash and premature) but pity him, and perhaps even pray for his soul as the Devil surely has a firm grip on it at the present.

that's very poetic, but you might have it the wrong way round. i would imagine that if you're having a shitty time you might find it harder than normal to love your fellow man - i suspect hatred is more a symptom than a cause. in fact, the idea that hatred is something in itself, rather than a response to the environment, is rather "fundamentalist", isn't it? but then you mention the devil too, so perhaps that's all part of it.
