So, last night, I had a dream that I was sitting in the library of Matt's apartment...

It was a small, cozy room with books floor to ceiling. I stood up from my mission chair and walked over to pull an autographed hard cover volume written by Miguel Cardoso from the shelves as Matt and I chatted about this and that. It all seemed very real. I'm not the first to have MeFi dreams...

I had a dream that the anthrax letters were sent by a Canadian. And you know what the implications of that would be, if Canada were hiding and harboring terrorists, don't ya?

That's all I'm saying.

I had a dream where people were writing stuff on a wall that I walk by every morning when I go to work. And every time I would pass the wall, someone had written something witty about something another person had written.

And I was always upset because even though I wanted to write something, I never had a pen with me.

I dreamt about a serial killer framing a mildly handicapped man for his carnage.

It was a re-run... last time I had the dream, the killer got caught. But this time I woke up too early.

*Sigh*

Is this thread really going anywhere? Cuz... well... if it's not, then I'm in a quandry: I can't take to MetaTalk.

I dreamed last night I was on the boat to heaven. And by some chance I had brought my dice along.

I dreamed I saw Phil Ochs last night alive as you and me.

Oh hey! I had that dream too, anapestic!

And there I stood, and I hollered, "Some one save me," but the passengers they knew right from wrong.

I dreamed I was riding on the Mayflower when I thought I spied some land. I yelled for Captain Arab I have yuh understand who came running to the deck, said "Boys, forget the whale; look on over yonder, cut the engines change the sail, haul on the bowline." We sang the melody like all tough sailors do when they are far away at sea.

And then all this other stuff happened: Captain Arab said "I think I'll call it America" as we hit land, and he and and the boys and I was all thrown in jail for carrying harpoons, and I busted out trying to raise bail. But I couldn't, and so I decided to flip a coin -- like, either heads or tails would let me know if I should go back to ship or back to jail, so I hocked my sailor suit and I got a coin to flip. It came up tails, it rhymed with sails so I made it back to the ship.

But the funniest thing was when I was leavin' the bay I saw three ships a-sailin', they were all heading my way. I asked the captain what his name was, and how come he didn't drive a truck. He said his name was Columbus. I just said "Good luck."

Unfortunately, my dreams aren't that silly these days. I have lots of nightmares these days involving explosions in subway cars and nuclear flashes of light emanating from tractor trailers or container ships. Actually, these are not really nighmares; just thoughts when I wake up in the morning and when I look towards the harbor from the F train (in Brooklyn). It's depressing living in NYC right now, and I hope things get better.

Has anybody ever had that dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes with a thousand women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?
