Errr...
I'm already finding that there have too many "What [something] are you ?" FPPs lately on MeFi, do we really have to bring them to MeTa ?
Plus, an image in a FPP ? Please...

This is a depressingly pointless post to see in MeTa. Karl, you are the brain, intelligent and articulate, it's amazing just how stupid you can be. :|

I am a big, blood pumping machine. Yes, Miguel, a heart. Now, certainly someone here is a spleen.

Two hearts are better than one, colt45! Now I hope the spleen isn't who I'm thinking it is because, if it is, as your lungs, I shall have to gasp in more than a pretzelly way. :)

But it was meant as an entertaining diversion, and, whether or not it belongs here, it did accomplish that. Now did I just misspell caffeine? I blame the ephedra.

For my part, I just don't understand why people are still even faintly interested in these who/what are you tests. Is it like a kitsch-fascination - 'Look, I found this one. Isn't it just shiveringly inane? Tee hee!' ?
I mean, no offense, karl, but sheesh.
Short version : what rodii said.

Well, for sure, when I re-took the test and changed one answer from flowers and fragrances to books and spanners, I found I was the intestimes--which means I'm full of shit. This was not news to me.

I still think it was a lame post and doesn't belong in MeTa--do we need to refresh our memory on what MeTa is for--it's just the "stupid" part I didn't mean.
<rant>These tests have been done and done and done. The first half dozen (to be charitable) were interesting. Then they were lame. There was a slight blip in interest when they went self-referential, but then they becamme even more lame even faster. (Surely self-reference is one of the signs of impending meme necrosis.) Now they're absurd, the questions aren't insightful--the U2 test that was going around the other day must have plumbed whole new dimensions of lame--the results are uninterpretable. It is played out, folks.

These tests are like fraternities for people who are amazed by shiny objects. "Ooooh! I'm [whatever]." Seriously... go back and reread this (and every other "What kind of _____ are you") post. Not only does it provide you with worthless non-information about yourself, it also provides you with worthless non-information about a bunch of other people you marginally care for outside of the world of MetaFilter.
I'm all for wasting time, but I'm positive you all can come up with something more entertaining than these tests. Even surfing grandma pr0n would be a welcomed change.

Well, my links usually work. I think.
Hey, on the national TV news last night--like I was paying attention to what network--there was a piece about the Air Force and Army giving provigil aka modafinil, the new narcolepsy drug that lets people go without sleep for days withou side effects, to personnel in Afghanistan. I'd post a link about it here but it'd probably get me in trouble.
Surely self-reference is one of the signs of impending meme necrosis.
I disagree, nor do I agree with attacks on in-jokes, which this thread is about: remember when the authorities shut down the project in Camp Concentration after the prisoners decided they'd have to come up with an escape plan right out in the open while under constant surveillance and monitoring? What do you think is happening here, hmmm? It's too late, rodii, the prisoners have taken over. Now, if you will just sit in this chair, please...
I always thought cranky opinions were a sign of some sort of necrosis, anyway... Not that I ever have any myself.
And pr0n is the lamest, really.
