The thing is that Nofundy is into the animals. He thinks Jon is a horse, and thus wants to fuck him. He also thinks Jon's girlfriend is the horse he rode in on, and so wants her as well. Every horse in the world is not enough for fundy.
As for the last part, horses have no right to diss. They are property (or lovers if you are a twisty).
Nofundy will not show up in MeTa, as he is probably hanging out by the stables, or doodling the word "Horses" in a spiral notebook.

Everybody has a schtick, and this has been nofundy's for quite some time. I'm rather surprised to to find nofundy in favor of equestrian lust, but nobody can really claim surprise that this little spat happened.

Paranoid fanaticism is his schtick and his belief, and seriously, is this any different from calling out PP for almost everything he types? I'd add that when someone is reduced to ineffectively shouting 'fuck you!' in the course of a dispute, it makes them look like the doofus, rather than the target of their ire. Not that I haven't done it a few times myself, of course, but I knew how stupid and inarticulate it made me look. After the fact, at least.
Whatever Jon's reason for posting the thread might be, I think that pointing and laughing at nofundy is called for, in that it might restrain others from such unproductive, uncivil and plain dumb outbursts in the future. I always like to think we the few, the proud and the snarky are above stuff like that.

Nofundy walked into a fairly civil thread, spewed some vague general anti-GOP rhetoric that didn't link to anything or provide backup for his opinions. I called him on it, and used some humor and he goes ballistic. So who's being sensitive?
And skallas, when I mentioned your name above I was using you as a counterexample, even when I disagree with you you use facts links and logic to make your case, and you added advantage being able to construct coherent sentences and paragraphs.

I'm feeling cranky. I woke up with an upset stomach and then I went into my studio to find that my cat had taken a big liquidy dump in the middle of the floor. Well, rush, people engage in verbal thrust & parry around here a lot, and humor and jabs at quirks are relatively common. Mine was relatively harmless and meant to be somewhat instructive.
nofundy's response revealed an inability to discourse beyond facile sloganeering and a complete lack of a sense of humor. And was far more antithetical to the site's purpose by implying (saying flat-out actually) that I had no right to my opinion.

Oh, enough with the "I didn't do anything why am I being persecuted?" disingenuity. You went after nofundy without even addressing the topic at hand, and he reacted in the way that you should have expected, had you been paying attention. Either that, or you've been paying attention, and you provoked him so that you could call him out here. Your hands aren't all that clean here, and the fact that someone else's hands are dirtier isn't a great reason for MeTa whinging.

I get that you believe that. Some of us disagree. I think you should think about what you said and just accept that it wasn't accepted as a friendly poke in the ribs and that one needn't be excessively sensitive to find it aggressive, unprovoked, and unwarranted.
...and then let it go, cuz it ain't worth kicking up any more dust over.
