Seattle bowling meetup

We're going bowling! Put on your shoes! Ad-hoc last-minute pre-meet at a bar downtown which will be revealed to prior thread commenters in an email from me. I'd post the locale of the bar, but a MeFite works there and has requested privacy in this matter. Mum's the word.

Again, the lanes are under my (real) name and I'll be there a little before 7. I'll be putting a (really cute) sign up at the front desk saying which lanes we're at. Cheers all.

sorry, the pre-meet was at the Virginia Inn, but I was requested to keep it mum. Nonetheless, we had success, and a five-dollar newb was duly sponsored!

i emailed all prior commenters in the two threads at the email addy's listed in-profile on MeFi.

The VI is on future meetup venue possible lists.

Also, fatllama is cleary a ringer, having bowled well over 100 in the 2 games I was present for. Happily, I captured his pristine form - and victory dance - in a quicktime clip which will duly see the light of day.

Photos are great but if we don't know who's who, we can't laugh at them knowingly. MeFites at meetups need MeFi nick-tshirts.

In summary:

• As far as I know, nobody bowled over their user number.
• I didn't get too wet outside waiting until midnight for kindall to show.
• I'm pretty sure warbaby would have broken 200 had he used the yellow Spongebob bowling ball.
• I'm committed to working the phrase "Body English" into at least 3 conversations at work today; thanks a lot guys.

Currently batting around a new flickr account to upload the few action shots I took (promise to be discreet with the "notes" feature, DawnSim ;). Otherwise, does anyone have the lowdown on the metafilter picture pool for the flickrless? It was great seeing everyone I knew and meeting people I didn't. Cheers all.

OK, warbaby, now the White Russian thing has piqued my interest. Given that I had no qualms about setting out three pints of 7-11 purchased premium ice cream, maybe next time I'll veer into the more renegade territory of bringing drinks. 2:1 vodka: kahlua, light cream to taste? Does that sound right? (My corkage fees are negotiable.)
