DC MeFi Meet Up on Sunday? Is it still "on"? Original post here

(I apologise if this isn't "done"... I'm really new to the MeTa.)

Thanks for the tips, and i mean really! Like i said, i generally don't do the MeTa; I stick to the blue and the green. So i'm learning as I go. But i hadn't seen any activity on the old thread and i didn't want to show up (ALL the way in the 'burbs, i might add!) with me thumb up me arse and... well, you know what i'm saying. I'll be there, barring any unforeseen circumstance, I'll try to wear MeFi blue and I may bring a pal along, who isn't into the MeFi yet but i'm trying to learn him.

Yeah let's try to have a sign or something for people who might be new. The second to last MeFi Meetup I went to we all stood around not recognizing each other for far too long. Feel free to bring friends.

Onlyconnect and I seem unlikely to attend. Enormous, dizzying upheavals are happening every time we pause to catch our breath. Things are so great that we're giddy, but we're also overcommitted.

I'm not a smoker, I'm avec l'enfant so I was making sure that I wouldn't be walking into a room with a blue haze over it. I haven't decided yet if I'm coming down this weekend, gotta see how I'm feeling, but I hope to be there.
