Jerks on my spacestation?

A while back, I asked my fellow mefites Do astronauts suffer from hypnic jerks? There didn't seem to be any definite answer, but last night I went to a book signing by astronaut Chris Hadfield (previously), and was able to ask him. He said that they do indeed have them while in space. Mystery solved! Science!

AskMe comes through yet again!

Thanks AskMe! Over a year ago I asked for some help with some technology to help my students use their cameras. [more inside]

What are some of AskMe's fastest, most amazing success stories?

The sidebar (see Apr 12) featured this post, in which someone's seemingly obscure question was answered in just six minutes. I think MY experience was even more amazing (as my question was more obscure), though it did take Gator an hour and ten minutes to cough up an answer. What are some other AskMe Astounding Stories of Snappy Answers to Obscure Questions?

Close the thread

I think it might be time to put this thread to bed. The poster has now said that the answers have helped her get what she was looking for. The only purpose that is served by keeping it open is to invite namecalling.

Marking questions as answered

Another AskMe suggestion. How about a way for someone who has posted a question to go in and add a marker which says that their question has been answered which would then appear next to the 'comments' marker on the front page, which would then offer the ability to filter out all the questions which have been answered so that the benevolant can concentrate on those which haven't.

What about a quick way to mark best answers or solutions in askme?

It would be nice, for the sake of closure, if there was a quick way of checking what solutions were eventually chosen by those who Ask MetaFilter, after having considered the answers provided to their questions. [More inside.]
