My comments pony: an option to only show comments made since the previous load of the "my comments" page.

In My Recent Comments, one of the long comments was truncated in the middle of an < i>italicized section< /i>. Consequently, the italics weren't closed for the rest of My Recent Comments.

Bug: the recent comments page is grouped again, but it looks like comments for the Blue are in reverse-post order. AskMe are in the correct order.

A "Recent Comments" mode for Metatalk. Or some other method for active discussions to not sink quickly into the lower realms.

Most recent!? What about an option to display the last 10 or 20 most recently commented on posts? If you counted the initial post as a comment it might be a way to a)save bandwidth and b) keep up on what's being discussed.

For me metafilter is about discussion, and this would be a great tool to cut through the clutter.

Oh, and a pony.

I totally depend on the new-since-your-last-visit feature to determine which threads to read, but sometimes I'll load up Metafilter and then something comes up and I don't have a chance to read those 200 new comments.

I would love a tiny little button somewhere on the homepage to the effect of "Forget I was here," so that I could come back in another hour or two and see all 300 or new comments, not just the new ones since my aborted visit.

Thanks to SQL whiz Eric, there is now a feature to grab the most recent comments, on 20 threads, sorted by the most recent comments. This will allow things to "bubble up" again when someone comments on an old thread. I think it's a useful, good feature, but could be abused later on, but for now it's better than nothing. It's available for both members and non-members, if you find any bugs, let me know here. It requires javascript to work.
