Deleting the thumbs down?
Double bad.

Emotional Intelligence post deleted, but why?
I'm curious why my carefully researched post about emotional intelligence -- the culmination of a three-month ordeal I suffered that I honestly think needed to be shared -- was deleted. Most of the links were articles that were no more than two weeks old, and there was a lot of activity in the comments. True, there was a previous post about the subject, but its main link was dead. Considering the trivial subjects of my other posts, I'm surprised that this one was taken down.
A small question about metafilter deleting posts.
A small question about metafilter deleting posts. Why so hasty? Why so abrupt? Perhaps we, as a online community, should define more precisely *exactly* the demographic metafilter, as a business, seeks to appeal toward. Posts on metaTalk get deleted before I can even put a more in depth explaination. What is going on here?
How does admin justify keeping this post about Gitmo but deleting this one about Chechnya?

"This post was deleted for the following reason: this is 4-5 years old, the woman was fine, just knocked the wind out of her. It's from Georgia I think."

What is the policy re accesing previously deleted posts and their deletion justifications?
What is the policy re accesing previously deleted posts and their deletion justifications? Is there a listing somewhere ? (Could be good for learning by negative example, although certainly defeats the purpose since accesing previously deleted posts means they have not really been deleted.)
