I can't believe I'm harassing y'all for this, it really is an itty bitty pony. That said I just realized in my Recent Activity when answering a question from an anonymous poster that the anonymous wasn't italicized like it is everywhere else -- ie on the askme home page, question page. (Also this is desktop only as the the username doesn't appear on mobile.) Anonymous was also capitalized, where it's not in the rest of the site. Any specific reason why it's different on the Recent Activity page? And if not... pretty please can I get it to look the same across the site? I don't even know why this bothered me enough to ask, but here it is. Thanks awesome metafilter team, as always you guys are amazing!

Would it be possible to have keyboard shortcuts (like ctrl-b and ctrl-i) for bold and italic formatting when composing posts and comments? I would envision it automatically putting the correct tags around whatever is highlighted. I don't use a mouse much when I compose stuff, and it would feel oh-so-good to ctrl-shift-arrow highlight, and then ctrl-b. [more inside]

Why is all of MetaFilter in italics all of a sudden? The first two posts on the page are fine, but then everything afterwards is in italics for me, even the posts from yesterday that weren't in italics earlier this morning... I've had a few drinks tonight, but not that many drinks...

Rats. I tried to post a link in all italics (with apologies to DaveAdams), and ended up italicizing everything. I realize that this has happened before and apologize for this breech in link editing.

Is there a way for a user to edit one of their own links after posting without having to bother Matt?

I suppose this is just a personal preference thing, but using italics to quote linked material in front page posts makes them hard to read (not to mention looong bold and linked text, too). I just want to encourage the use of quotation marks instead. They are faster to type and easier on my eyes.
