What's the deal with the title of this post? It doesn't look like it has anything to do with the thread. Is it an odd attempt at self-promotion of some sort?
It was a bad post, which is probably why the title was also bad.

Yeah, um, why is that poster still posting?
If new members, who are blank slates, have to wait a certain period and/or make a certain numer of comments before they get the keys to the front page, I'd say someone who's repeatedly abused it to this extent should be, at the very least, forced to wait and prove their grasp of Mefi discourse over the course of a few weeks and/or several dozen comments. Just a thought.

christ, he's a dildo, not a criminal!
he may need a private email from an admin, but I doubt this calls for a bannination.
remember: it we outlaw dildos, only dildos will have outlaws.

New members have to wait to post to the front page? How long has that been in effect? I'm not complaining, just curious...

Why do you say it has nothing to do with the thread? If you can't get a job with Macs, you should start reading up on Linux.
(The thread was stupid, but I think the title is at least as apropos as most other ones.)

Well, if something requires IE, you may possibly not be able to use it on a Mac but you definitely won't be able to use it with Linux...

I prefer to say: If we dildo outlaws...there will be a lot of people walking around with sore butts.

I since before the flood gates openned. You also have to have a few comments before you can post. As spammers rarely make _good_ comments it makes them easier to ferret out.

A bannination? Maybe not. A MeTa thread full of snarks and the sweet smell of fresh hot tar? Definitely!

Damn right, trial by fire. Wheel the bound and gagged JimJam in here for his fair share of abuses. But don't worry, JimJam, we're not a college football team so your backdoor's safe (for the most part).
But thanks, I wouldn't want to work for a company that uses Outlook and IE, do they not put locks on the doors too?

Yes you can. You can even run multiple versions concurrently with wine's crazy new bottle feature. Also, what if the job somehow requires Tuxracer? What then?

See? I resisted the temptation to respond, and merely flagged instead. It took some doing I can tell you. How much more of a twat would the poster have felt if his pathetic flame-bait had been met with zero responses?
