Posting to bugs, but not sure if there's something I'm missing - I can set my preferences to GMT or whatever the other abbreviation is, and this shows up on the MeFi front page but not on AskMeFi and MetaTalk. Am I missing something?

Nope. That's just The Way Things Are™.

Yeah, I only carried the timezone stuff over on MetaFilter for a variety of reasons, but I could spread it around.

It would be really handy if you could. I keep finding myself switching profile settings to work out when people posted in different sections.

Being on CET I would very much appreciate that. I mean, I can do the PT +9, ET +6, BST +1 etc easily in my head, but it would really cut down on confusion if one timezone was shown sitewide.

As ponies go, I wouldn't say it's a high priority. I only just noticed that I could use GMT, after looking at the site for years.

Setting my timezone to GMT is one of the first things I did when I signed up this week. I know it's a minor thing but it would make me happy if it was spread to other sections.

On a semi related note: Will the ability to flag posts be implemented in the final version of Projects?
