Somebody messed up the HTML in their post. Looks like it was unixrat. So no, it's not you.

Of course I'm bored, I'm at work. But it was simply cut and paste (other than changing < to &lt).

MetaFilter code squashing code seems a little backward: instead of removing everything except for a few allowed tags and attributes, it keeps everything except for a few disallowed tags and attributes.
