Some photos from the Branford, CT meetup on 11/28. Hey, film takes time. Laziness does too, sorry for the delay. See also, smackfu's photos and the first (two) ever video shoutout(s) from smackfu

while nomad looks nothing like gully foyle, plutor completely resembles my one cousin aka "mr. bad"

Sweet! My first meetup shoutout - thanks! Guess there's nothing left for me now but a long, messy flameout.

Shouted out! Yesness!

Hurrah! I'm glad you "officially" posted these, nomad! That was a fun night and we should do it again.

re: "DaShiv: someday I'll have camera equipment as decent as yours"

The real charm in DaShiv's no-flash method is huddling together around candles to make the shot work. Some of my favorite moments.

I'd like to mention for the record that I tried like hell to get the one MeFite I know in CT to go to this but his ass stuck to its chair in the end. But I was pullin' for ya!

Looks fun, doesn't it? See, I told you it would be fun.

Wow, this doesn't mean anything to anyone, but nomad, you look exactly like crazy jack, a friend of mine. Crazy!

uh, yeah, and apparently I'm the crazy one now.

Cool stuff, always so fascinating to see photos of MeFites from around the world! Mwah!

These came out great. I'm somewhat surprised. The XA2 is hit-and-miss a lot of times. I'm glad we did this, and we should definitely do more. I'm sure there's twice as many CT people willing to come, if only we didn't throw them off the trail with the "nutmeggers" thing.

So I'm Mr. Bad, and Nomad is Crazy Jack. Anyone else look like anyone else?

How did I miss this? The first meetup remotely close to me that I've seen...

And this made me laugh out loud. Good stuff!

Nutmeggers! You all look great.

Waitaminute - so jessamyn's actually the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Now it all makes sense.

hangashore, did you not get the memo? I'll have Doris in HR shoot that right over to you.

Although it hardly needs expressing, Dr. Wu, I think it's imperative that we see both you and any major dude at the same meetup, as soon as possible.

Awwwww. HOLLABACK Dr. Wu!

Preferably at Biscayne Bay (where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day).

Oh, and nice pics, Connecticuties!

Y'know, I actually complained to Google Video about the grey bar at the bottom of the video, which wasn't on the original, and a nice lady wrote back and said it was my problem, not theirs. Not exactly the answer I was looking for.

If there's anyone who actually cares about or is puzzled by the arcane Steely Dan references going on on this page, here's a small piece (written by a rabbi!) about the song "Any Major Dude," and here are the lyrics to the song from which I took my username.

Love that Dan.
