Is it possible that permalinks after our comments could work like anchor tags? I'm forever having to scroll up to links or open new tabs when a click up would add usability.

Does this make me lazy? Or is there some functionality in Firefox I'm missing?

you mean a link that says "scroll to top"?

Press the home key if you are on Windows. I'd assume there is a similar hotkey for Mac peeps.

i must be missing something. every comment is preceded by an anchor tag and the links after comments link to them, and have since the beginning.

No, I mean that in a long thread, 2/3rds of the way along a poster may quote someone 1/3rd up, with a link to the earlier comment. If I click that, the page reloads: this seems a waste. Why doesn't it just jump to the link - the way that anchor tags do? (I realise I've asked about scrolling up before).
