White powder mail

I was driving across M.I this morning and heard on lansing local radio that 5 persons had received mail with a white powder in them yesterday.just like the ones in F.L. i will look in to this more. i will post more info and link to local paper if possible.

(1) This isn't particularly specific to metafilter, as metafilter is not based anywhere near Mid Michigan.

(2) I haven't heard anything like this today (I live just south of Lansing and work in East Lansing), and can't find any mention on any of the media outlets here in Lansing. I'll watch the six o'clock news, though.

I think if its important, we'll all hear about it. There's no need for people to rush to Mefi to report news.

There was nothing on Lansing news last night.

(Not every radio station in Lansing is known for accurate news reporting, despite the "from the news capital of michigan" moniker that is often popular here).

yes karl i looked in all the mi papers i came a cross today and not one word on the subject ? ? SORRY NOT TRYING TO PANIC ANYBODY just trying to relay what i heard. today i lower my head for the ones that died and hope that i will not happen again
