Yahoo firefox search plugin for askme February 10, 2006 2:56 AM   Subscribe

The current firefox search plugins for Mefi were written ages ago for the built-in site search (hence they don't work anymore). Can any of our hotshot code cowboy members look into making one that uses the yahoo search? I'm particularly looking for one to search AskMe.

And I mean cowboy in a gender-neutral sense, of course.

Ok, this works. The main reason I wanted/wrote it is that on the yahoo results limited by domain, if you hit search again it removes the scope and searches the whole web.

Let me understand - you want an Mefi Search Extension that integrates into Firefox search (as a new Engine)?

Yeah. I added a 'Software and Extensions' section to a wiki page, someone should list metafilthy and the various greasemonkey scripts there.

Well, I didn't want a 'mefi search extension', just an askme engine for firefox's search bar.
