I believe that only recent comments are included in My Comments. In this way, it was possible to miss some new comments in threads you participated in because your most recent contribution was more than two weeks old - or something like that.

A few months ago I think mathowie tried extending the window to 30-days, which would therefore include every possible comment in MetaFilter and MetaTalk. However, I'm not sure if that adjustment was kept. And of course 30-days isn't long enough in AskMe, because those threads are open for one year.

Can anyone elaborate on how/when/if new comments ever fail to show up in My Comments?

MetaRSS. Still works. Just like it did the last 3 billion times someone asked for this feature.

My Comments does include recent comments. That's the point. If I made a comment a month ago on AskMe, and someone just responded today, that goes to the top of the My Comments heap - it was the most recent comment to follow one of mine.

My Posts is a little different, but I don't use it enough to know if it has the same functionality.

Oh... never mind, I think I get it now. Chuckles meant that it only polls the comments you made in the last month (or however long) to determine what one of "your" comments is. So obviously my last comment was useless.

On the other hand, you will see it in "My Comments" for the next month.

I'll be doing RSS feeds for any post, which you can just track in aggregators and they should perk up whenever there is an update.

It is a little confusing is all... My Comments tracks ten threads, is that the ten threads I contributed to most recently? Because that would miss a lot of content. I don't think it is though, I think it is more like: Of all threads I have commented in within the last two weeks, the ten most recently updated threads.

Anyway, what I'm trying to ask is, what are the criteria for inclusion in My Comments?

That one. (Pretty sure, but I know I'll be corrected if I'm wrong [again].)

It does? That's news to me! :-)
There are (23) MeFi, (98) AskMe, and (8) MeTa RSS feeds currently cached.
Woo hoo! It does!

If you want to make it easier on yourself and have Greasemonkey installed, try this.
