closure on this "mystery nautical apparatus" AskMe thread? May 7, 2006 3:13 PM   Subscribe

Can we get some closure on this "mystery nautical apparatus" AskMe thread? I'm dying to know what this thing is. Did any of the commenters get an answer from their emails to the Galway port people?

Damn, I'm glad someone else besides me was wondering about this one. It's like an unsolved mystery that just keeps hanging with no resolution...
