CSS in Comments? June 4, 2006 9:55 AM   Subscribe

This comment looked fine on live preview. I was trying to indent the italicized part. I take it that CSS commands aren't a good thing to put into comments.

The comment looks fine in "my recent comments", but it screws up the count and nothing after it shows up. Odd!

The two comments after it (me: "Oops." and someone else: "How did you do that?") have disappeared for some reason. I see the last line of the comment and "posted by oaf" etc. all the way to the left of the browser window.

I fixed it. We should add something to the FAQ about what HTML is and is not allowed in comments. Mathowie says he's working on making live preview actually preview what your post will look like... um ... live.

If HTML gets stripped, it shouldn't mess up the formatting, and usually doesn't.
