ummm, yeah, i'm sure this has been mentioned before, but when i searched for "sideblog" in MeTa none of the posts seemed to address this issue, though i was surprised to find out that the sideblog has been around for longer than i have here, yet i just discovered it a week ago. as i do most of my websurfing on netscape, i had never seen it until i tried using opera one day, at the suggestion of a friend, and there was this whole other thing over on the side of the page. so yeah, what's the deal?

Netscape 4? The deal is there is no CSS support in that 4 year old browser (CSS is only 5 years old now).

ah, i see. i do most of my computer work on my school's computers, nearly all of which have netscape 4 as their default browser.

the sidebar doesn't show up on IE 4(.72) either. the text ads do, though.

Matt, I notice that the sideblog also does not show up in Mosaic 0.9 and Lynx. Just thought you'd want to know.

phooey, same thing, IE 5+ supports some CSS properties that IE 4 doesn't, so no sidebar.
