Jessamyn's coming to town. Time for another Chicago meetup.

Jessamyn will be in our fair city near the end of August. Let's plan a meetup for the evening of Tuesday, August 22. Say, 6:30 p.m.?

She will be staying in Lincoln Square, so perhaps we could meet up at Hopleaf again? It's not too far from Lincoln Square, and from what I heard about the last meetup, it was a lot of fun. If you've got another suggestion, by all means share!

Has jessamyn agreed to a meetup or simply mentioned that she will be in Chicago? My guess is she will agree, but you sure have put her on the spot now, eh? :) Either way, don't print the posters or sell tickets until you get the okay.

Just a subtle suggestion to actually meet in Lincoln Square somewhere (Maybe the Daily Grill?) besides the HopLeaf which tends to get overrun with people. Just a thought.

Weird --- I live in Chicago and I've wanted to go to a meetup for a while now, and I'm going to be out town for basically the entire rest of the month except the night of the 22nd. I think that's Divine Providence.

Hopleaf should be fine on a Tuesday, but the Daily is nice, too. There's also the Grafton Pub in Lincoln Square.

I'm happy with any of the places you guys suggest - I don't know the neighborhood very well and Hopleaf just popped into my head. I'll let the neighborhood folks duke it out for a location.

What's with the jessamyn world tour anyway?

I'm doing a really stupid(mostly)fun amount of workish travel in the next several months (library related talks, this sort of thing) taking me to DC [this week], Chicago, Madison, Honolulu, Fargo, Portland, Lansing and jehu knows where else.
