If this is going to turn into freeform things that are way-past-their-welcome, I'll go ahead jump on my hobbyhorse again and replead with Matt to address the sock-puppet issue. Mutliple accounts are fine, as long as we know who the people are using the multiple accounts. There is not a single argument in support of people having different account that are not associated with their main. The whole purpose of having screen names is to have source identifiers in order to develop community; sockpuppets ruin that when we can't tell where certain comments come from. So, make some list on the user page like "other accounts associated with this user."

This is clearly a good and awesome pony. This pony should be at the front of the line. Its way gooder than the other ponies. And if Matt doesn't give us this pony, then it must be because he doesn't want us to know who his sockpuppets are!

This bugs me for two reasons. 1) It was never that clever to begin with, and by now, it's totally played. 2) Once you get "inside," the [more inside] tag is gone, and the question just hangs there unfinished. As in:

The solution is obvious. We should ban:

• Images
• People who continually pretend to be unimpressed with everything
• jonmc who continually pops in to call out people who continually pretend to be unimpressed with everything
• "In-Character" Sockpuppets
• The Jews (tm)
• Sockpuppets with stupid names but they shouldn't get their $5 back since matt has a kid now.
• People who have schticks and always post variants of the same inane point (jonmc falls under this but it also includes a lot of the political posters.)
• People from North and South Dakota. (Frankly these people just rub me the wrong way.)
• Islamofascists, not in the propaganda sense, but Islamists who actually happen to be Nazis.
