Question about a deleted AskMe August 23, 2006 8:21 AM Subscribe
I posted a question to AskMeFi and it is not there. I don't see any post about it being removed here...Can anyone enlighten me on its fate? "Thought Experiment regarding light and mirrors..."

Whatever the particular case was, be aware that deletions do not necessarily get discussed in Metatalk—now and then someone will bring one up, but most of them pass quietly into the night.

sorry about that, I was on my way out the door and meant to drop you an email. Double posts are very very rarely deleted from Ask Metafilter but this one seemed to be 1) an exactly identical question and 2) well-answered before.

The old question is also still open, of course, and will be for months.
I'd suggest that deleting repeated questions should be even more rare once the old question is closed (not so rare that it will never happen in the lifetime of the universe, or anything, just very very very very rare :P).
