PC Magazine (www.pcmag.com), the most important technology publication in the world, delivers authoritative, labs-based comparative reviews of computing and Internet products to more than 6.6 million highly engaged technology buyers.
I'm sorry, but coming from a magazine that specializes in computers, IT, and the internet, this compilation lists sites that basically blew-up like in the year 2001: We share mention with sites "Indymedia" and "The Morning News"? What is going on here?

I used to read PC Magazine in around 1996 to laugh at the clueless idiots.
Glad to see they've bought a clue. Unfortunately, it is past its sale date by a few years...
Next month, I hear they are going to review MCA, the hot new bit of hardware.

Hey, at least it's not a Computer Shopper review. Now that's a magazine that long-ago jumped the shark. Used to weigh-in at 5 trees and 8 bushes. Now you can practically make a paper airplaine out of it without ripping any pages out. So sad.

You know, funny as it sounds, this site really is kinda undiscovered. I mean, less than 1% of the world's internet users visit this site regularly, and probably far less than 1% of PC magazine's readership.

I noticed it the other day, but the article is dated August 22, so I assumed it had already passed its Internet expiration date. In fact, the second site in the "Lifestyle, Entertainment & Fun" section, 5ives.com, hasn't updated since a week before the article. Yeah. Great list. Snork.

It's a little disheartening to find out that my first name oculd hardly be more trend-driven—my parents selected it exactly at its 1985 peak. That's almost as sad as the fact that "Madison" is currently the #3 name for girls. Hell, I like Wisconsin as much as the guy, but...#3? It has a nice enough sound, but, at least for me, not a third-most-popular-name-in-the-country level of nice.
