I was wondering if MetaFilter's tendancy to turn character codes into the characters they represent is because of the preview process, and that's why I'm testing this: < >

Yeah I forgot to do the < conversions to &lt: on the fly, but I'll fix it up real soon.

Hmm. Wouldn't it work to code the characters codes?

Yeah, uhm... just make it so the 'preview' code converts & to &amp;amp;... as it stands, if you type &amp;lt; it'll convert it to &lt; in the preview.

Currently, to work around this, you have to type &amp;amp;lt;

shit... metatalk doesn't have a preview...

The irony is killing me...

that all should read:
