What, no Ann Arbor meetup? This must be remedied.

Any A2 mefites want to gather sometime in the next few weeks? Cambridge schoolboy attire optional, but encouraged.

Bah, who wants to meet a bunch of people who'd steal two seconds right out from under your feet.

Yeah, I'm up for it. We had the last one at Dalat in Ypsi, but I hear that Dalat is dead.

How about Arbor Brewing Co.?

Dalat is still alive. The food was bad for a while but I hear it's gotten better. It'd be an excuse to see if this is true.

ABC would be my second choice. Or third if you count reserving a big table for weekend dim sum at Great Lakes.

No way man. Every time an Ann Arbor meetup is proposed something bad happens to me.

Why, what happened last time PST?
I wouldn't mind Dalat, but, being carless, someplace in Ann Arbor proper would be more convenient for me.

To be clear, I don't mean I go to the meetup and something bad happens. I mean around the time the meetup is supposed to be something bad happens that keeps me from going.

Last time was a flare up of a condition that makes sitting down uncomfortable.

Rides are possible, since we're congregating at the same place at roughly the same time. I for one can volunteer a couple car seats.

If it's ABC, we should hit it on a Monday.
Also, the Corner Brewery, owned by the same folks only out in Ypsi, is usually easier to get a seat at.
There's also Leopold Bros., Temptations (the Indian place out on Washtenaw), Totoro (a great sushi joint that's pretty cheap and nice on the eyes, but lacks alcohol tragically), Siam Square (again on Washtenaw), Casey's, Old Town, or Frasier's (if we're feeling unpretentiously bar-y).

Leopold's no good for food, but I approve the beer. If we're talking Depot Town area, why not Aubree's? It's not Old Town, but the extra room is a plus and I like the pizza.

klangklangston has it right. The Corner Brewery is the place for a meetup. They brew their own beer (it is Arbor Brewing Company's production facility for distribution) and all of it is good. Rarely crowded, comfortable sofas, they've added a plasma screen for those interested in that sort of thing. The tasting room is only open until 11:00 or so, but Depot Town is two blocks away. I'm going there tonight for my birthday.

I'd go to Ann Arbor as well. But parking there is a bitch.

Okay, Corner Brewery it is. How about Friday, Dec. 1 @8ish? People traveling from A2 in need of/able to give a ride to the meeting spot should email me to coordinate rides (though I have the feeling it's just going to be me needing the ride, ha).

In the meantime, the rest of us can pray to the Patron Saint of Uncomfortable Flare-Ups to ensure the PST can join us.
