With the Christmas season upon us, I think it's time to call attention to PinkStainlessTail's classic—which will live forever—Jingle Rock Bell.

Surely a candidate for metafilterhistory.

This is truly awesome. I included this track on my 2006 Holiday Christmas CD "MRE Christmas".

I still have friends and relatives who won't speak to me.

Yeah, this really sticks in your head once you hear it. I think of it every now and then.

Is there a word for "friends who won't speak to me"?

Is there a word for "friends who won't speak to me"?

Yes, but only in German.

I played this for my family on Christmas Eve. They loved it. My ten and twelve year old nephews like to call me up and sing it, too. Definitely a classic.

PST doth rock. He jingles and he bells, too.

I metafilterhistoried it.

Here's everything tagged with "christmas" on our music site. We need more!

That took 2.3 seconds to download, it's encoded at 128 bits per second and lasts 153 seconds. Thanks interrobang for bringing this to a my attention. But mostly thanks PinkStainlessTail for making it, quite lovely. I shall, in my joy at being alive right now, be throwing cake from a window. And I shall be letting them eat it. Quite Lovely.

Jingle Rock Bell has been in regular rotation here at Casa LeeJay since it was unleashed upon the world. It never fails to get me in the holiday spirit.

It was sent to me on a MeFiSwap CD. I've inflicted it on many people who now won't speak to me any more (known in German as schadenfreunden).

With all due respect, why the fuck isn't this uploaded to MeFi music by now?

Really, it's 10% me, 90% the late great Lenny Dee.

I always get PinkStainlessTail and ThePinkSuperhero mixed up. Always.

ThePinkSuperhero is the one who actually can sing.

Oh. My god. I love you guys. (Petition to officially change song's title to "Ringle Bell Jock.")

When you scrobble, get your tags right.

And if you need a multimedia experience ...

Just remember. PinkStainlessTail is the man now, dog.

Of course he said "jock." That's the part everybody waits for.

I favorited it 8 times and completely fucked up my proper ratio.

Actually, PST is always the man. That's the main way to tell us apart- PST is the man. I am the woman.

Aww, now I know it's xmastime! Bingle Jock Rell! Ringle Bock Jell!

Damn you. This popped up while I was shuffling through songs on my way to class last week and it took me a long time to get it out of my head.

You can tell he really had fun while recording this. Bastard. ;P

My favorite part has always been the part at about the halfway mark, you just know he was doing jazz-hands while he sang it - his voice kinda starts doing a vibrato.

Heh, I was just telling a friend about this yesterday. My boss absolutely hates Christmas music, so I queue this up every once in awhile just to mess with him. It's probably my #2 christmas song, right after the Pogues "Fairytale of New York"

I despise holiday music, and this somehow managed to both make my day and get stuck in my head. I don't know whether I love or hate you people.

"jock."

Hee.

Who on earth is John Ringle?

Not that anyone will see this, but I just wanted to mention that this has begun to spread throughout my high school, viral-marketing style. Really. People sing it in the hallways. It's on a couple shared network drives. There's no escape.

*evil laugh*
